Root Canal Treatment (RCT)

Treatment

The root canal of a tooth contains the pulp (or pulp chamber). The pulp is the soft part of the root canal and consists of dental tissue, cells and the nerve of the tooth.

A tooth decay may reach the pulp and cause it to become infected. The purpose of the root canal treatment is to save the tooth by removing the pulp, cleaning it, sterilising it and then sealing it to prevent any further infection.

Root canal treatments may take several appointments to complete depending on the situation of the tooth. Our dentists are here to answer your questions, please don’t hesitate to ask for information or advice.
